PRIORITIES

-
Budget Accountability. Managing public funds requires rules and regulations set in place to make effective and responsible use of government resources. I will make sure that accountability and transparency remain in place throughout the budgeting process.
-
Emergency Management. Preparedness, response, and recovery are the primary components of an effective response before, during, and after emergencies and disasters. As Head of Emergency Management, I will make sure that Nueces County has emergency management strategies in place and all necessary resources to assist the community.
-
Economic Growth and Job Creation. I will propose policies that promote business development, help small businesses, and bring the proper new industries to our area.
-
Healthcare Access. Healthcare is a fundamental right, not a privilege. I intend to work with the Hospital District and other appropriate agencies to advocate for policies that make healthcare more affordable and accessible to district residents.
-
Infrastructure Development. Our infrastructure is the core of our community. I will prioritize repairing and modernizing our county's roads, bridges, and public transportation networks.
-
Environmental Sustainability. Future generations' well-being depends on our ability to protect the environment. I will advocate for programs that promote renewable energy, minimize pollution, and safeguard our natural resources.
-
Public Safety and Justice. The safety of our residents is important. I intend to collaborate with the Sheriff, Constables, County Attorney, Judges, and District Attorney to reinforce our law enforcement institutions, support community policing, and implement reforms that preserve justice and equity for all.
